It's got a great patina and a couple of little chips in the wood that I think just add to its character

and knowing that it came from the estate of a very prolific artist makes it easy to imagine that the trusty set of tools inside have lived a very active life

I'd guess is it pretty old and there is a bit of roughness to the wood in a few spots on the reaming end, but it's in great shape overall with lots of years of use in it yet though plenty lovely just to retire for display. 7 1 8" long.
